The face of the moon was in shadow

Almost before we knew it, we had left the ground. All their equipment and instruments are alive.Mist enveloped the ship three hours out from port. The spectacle before us was indeed sublime.A red flair silhouetted the jagged edge of a wing.

Quick play

A quick reminder for the table.

  1. Know your team’s aim

Keep your role secret. Chors seek all Gold; Police seek all Handcuffs or protect hidden Gold through Round 4.

  2. Use the Standard Setup Card

Use the physical Standard Setup Card for your player count. Prepare, shuffle and deal the Role and Vault decks as instructed. Announce the Gold and Handcuff totals. Keep roles secret and extra roles unseen.

  3. Check, shuffle, then keep them hidden

At each round’s start, secretly check your vaults, then shuffle them until you don’t know their order. Lay them face-down; don’t peek again. In Round 1, choose a starting player and give them the Key.

  4. Open another player’s vault

The Key holder opens one of someone else’s vaults and puts it in the matching centre pile. That vault’s owner takes the Key and chooses next. Talk, bluff and persuade.

  5. Start the next round

After as many vaults open as there are players, gather only unopened cards. Shuffle and redeal equally: one fewer per player. Roles stay unchanged; the last Key holder starts. Revealed cards stay in the centre.

  6. Check for a winning team

All Gold revealed: Chors win immediately. All Handcuffs revealed: Police win immediately. If Gold remains hidden after Round 4, Police win.
